Anderlecht renewed their interest in Zamalek playmaker Shikabala and tabled a € three-million offer to acquire his services.
The Belgian side, where Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan used to ply his trade before joining Ahli last summer, first approached Shikabala in April.
Zamalek turned down their bid at the time but media report suggested that Anderlecht haven’t given up hope of signing the Egyptian International.
Indeed, they came up with a tangible offer on Tuesday to land Shikabala this summer.
Zamalek board members Raouf Gasser and Amr Al-Ganaini sat down with Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck and agent Samir Abdul-Tawab to negotiate the deal.
Zamalek are yet to make up their minds.
Shikabala has been determined for a while to leave Zamalek in order to play European football.
