Egypt midfielder Mohamed Shawky is close to joining Belgian side Lierse on a free transfer, his agent Nader Shawki said.
“The negotiations between us and (Lierse chairman) Maged Sami are at an advanced stage,”Shawki’s agent said
“Should everything go smoothly, the deal will go though within few days.
“First we couldn’t reach an agreement over the transfer fee but are close to working that out.”
Lierse, who secured a top-flight promotion last season, currently have three Egyptians at their disposal in Mohamed Abdul-Wahed, Dodo Al-Gabbas and Ahmed Samir.
