Egypt U-20 fly to Emirates for CAN preparations

The Egyptian U-20 national team is heading to UAE for their training camp to prepare for the forthcoming African Youth Championship.

The camp will last for 20 days. The Egyptian team will play four friendly games against Cameron, Nigeria U-20 and Saudi U-20 national team that qualified for the World Cup U-20 that will be held in Columbia next August and UAE Olympic team.
The Egyptian national team manager, Diaa Al-Sayed revealed that his team will continue with preparations while waiting to find out the venue for the competition in the light of the current events in Libya. “We aim through the next camp in Emirates to achieve the highest rate of fitness and harmony between the players. We want to achieve this during our preparations period for the championship because we will play against strong opponents that will help us to find out our weaknesses and positives so we can achieve the highest performance.” added Diaa Al-Sayed.

“The recent events in Egypt affected us just like they have affected all Egyptian departments. We have got over this crisis and now we are on our way back to our best performance to maintain Egypt’s history forever. I also think now everything is getting better because of the atmosphere in the camp. Playing several friendly games will help us too. Also, all the Egyptian team players have one motivation which is making the Egyptian people happy”. Diaa Al-Sayeed said about the recent events in Egypt.

The Pharaohs played four friendly games in a short period. They won against Al-Intag Al-Harby by 3-1 margin, beat Enpi 2-0, Petrojet 2-0 and they played out a 1-1 draw with Haras Al-Hodoud
