Al Ahly 0-2 Monterrey | Match Video Review | JAPAN 2012

Goals from Jesus Corona and Cesar Delgado give Mexican side Monterrey a 2-0 victory over Al-Ahly of Egypt to claim third place in the Club World Cup.

A defensive mix-up allows Corona to walk in the opener after only three minutes before Delgado’s second-half breakaway goal seals the win.

After Ahly’s 2-0 loss to Mexico’s Monterrey in the Club World Cup third-place playoff, Ahly midfielder Mohamed Abou-Treika has said he and his teammates did their best but had some bad luck.
“We hoped to please the fans but the luck was against us,” Abou-Treika told reporters after the game.

“The players did their best but unfortunately the result didn’t turn out as we wanted it,” he added.

“I ask Ahly’s supporters not to blame the players for the loss as we did our best to win the game,” Abou-Treika concluded.
