Egypt will be eyeing their fourth U-20 African Championship title when they meet Ghana in the tournament’s final on Saturday.

Egypt’s U-20 side have already achieved their primary objective after booking their place at the World Cup but there will be room for more glory when they meet Ghana in the African Championship final on Saturday.

A perfect record saw Egypt win all their games en route to the final, conceding just one goal in the process.

The only goal they leaked was scored by heavyweights Ghana, who outshone Egypt in Group A opener but were undone by a late penalty from in-form midfielder Saleh Gomaa as the young Pharaohs claimed a 2-1 victory.

Egypt are expected to face a tough challenge against Ghana, who are best remembered for winning the U-20 World Cup in 2009 in Egypt.

“First of all, we have a lot of respect for Ghana and their football but we are ready to face them on Saturday and l have been working on my team and concentrating on what we need to do to win,” Egypt coach Rabie Yassine was quoted as saying by CAFonline.com.

“We want to make our own history, we have our destiny in our own hands and I believe we can win this tournament. We are capable, we have what it takes to win.”
