Live Ahly Cairo vs Ahly Benghazi| CAF Champions League

Match info: Venue: Air Defence Stadium | Date & Time: 29 Mar 2014 – 19:00 (CLT)

Orange CAF Champions League champions Al Ahly of Egypt find them selves facing a difficult task after they have been trailing in the first leg with the score of 0-1 against Ahly Benghazi of Libya

The Red Devils, who also held the club’s board elections on Friday after several months of legal wrangling, celebrated being the club with most continental titles after wrapping up their 19th trophy following their African Super Cup triumph at the expense of Tunisia’s Sfaxien last month.

They surpassed Italian giants AC Milan, whose kit bears the sentence “Il Club Piu Titolato Al Mondo” which means “the most successful club in the world”.

But Ahly are keeping their fingers crossed over their chances of defending their title, with a series of disappointing displays on the domestic and continental fronts casting serious doubts over their ability to add to their record eight Champions League victories.

They hardly threatened Benghazi in the first leg, with their opponents making the most of a dreadful blunder from veteran defender Wael Gomaa to claim a surprise win, thanks to an opportunistic strike from Zimbabwean 30-year-old striker Edward Sadomba.
