Equatorial Guinea may choose to recall defender Diosdado Mbele, who has completed a one-match suspension.

Should he make the starting line-up it will likely be in place of Estonia-based Daniel Evuy, while striker Raul Fabiani Bosio could again start.

Tunisia will again look to skipper Yassine Chikaoui to shine playing alongside the dangerous Esperance striker Ahmed Akaichi.

The defense will again by led by Monaco centre-back Aymen Abdennour.

Hosts Equatorial Guinea are hoping the decision to relocate the match to Bata will give them the edge. They were initially due to tackle Tunisia in Ebebiyi but tournament organisers moved it to the port city, citing concerns over the pitch.

However, there is little doubt that the tiny 5,000-seat stadium in Ebebiyin would have been overrun had the game gone ahead there rather than in the 35,000-capacity Estadio de Bata.

The red-clad local fans will be eager to see Equatorial Guinea make history by reaching the last four for the first time after they were trounced 3-0 by the Ivory Coast in Malabo at the same stage of the competition three years ago.

Striker Emilio Nsue, who scored in the 1-1 draw with Congo in the opening match, said: “For me its an amazing, brilliant experience for me and for us [as a team].

“That Equatorial Guinea are in the quarter-finals is a dream. To be here and to win for all the Guinean people – if we can win tomorrow, our people have to be happy. We are a small country but our heart is very big.

“I was here last time and when I came to the stadium, there was a lot of people – it’s like we had 12 players. But we know it will be very difficult against Tunisia.

Tunisia coach Georges Leekens is well aware that the noisy Equatorial Guinea support will create an intimidating atmosphere for his side.
“It will be difficult for us especially with their fans behind them, but I am positive in all circumstances,” said the Belgian.

“They have a balanced team and are so fast in attack. They have posted a fantastic performance beyond most expectations.”
Equatorial Guinea have yet to lose in Bata and their current side have exceeded expectations after a chaotic build-up that included the appointment of a new coach, Esteban Becker, 11 days before the start of the tournament, as well as a clear-out of naturalised South American players.

“We now have a side made up 100% of players from Equatorial Guinea who are willing to defend the colours of their country,” said Argentine coach Becker.
