Zamalek will take on Dakhleya in Suez’s new stadium when the Egyptian Premier League resumes on schedule on 30 March, while Ahly will host Ragaa one day later at Cairo’s Petro Sport Stadium, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) confirmed.
The Egyptian cabinet decided last Wednesday to resume the Egyptian Premier League behind closed doors starting on 30 March, since its suspension after the Cairo Air Defence stadium disaster on 8 February.
Strict measures
The Egyptian Football Association has conditioned the resumption of the domestic league on the implementation of newly-introduced rules following a six month hiatus in the wake of the Air Defence tragedy last month.
Teams’ contingents should also not exceed 35 members including the 18-man squad and technical staffs, as a maximum of 15 board officials will only be allowed to attend their respective club games.
The EFA also warned that should any party fail to abide by the rules set by the FA, the game will be immediately called off.
