The team gained momentum winning the Egypt Cup Monday after defeating classic rivals Ahly 2-0 in the final to be double-champions after clinching the Egyptian Premier League trophy too, ending their 11-year drought.

“We are targeting the trio. We are targeting the Confederation Cup trophy,” Zamalek football director Ismael Youssif stated on the club’s official website Wednesday.

Playmaker Mohamed Ibrahim will miss the game due to injury while there are attempts to include Ahmed Tawfik — who was called for military national team service — in the squad.

“We are ready to accomplish a positive result against Etoile De Sahel and the cup is our target,” said attacking midfielder Mahmoud Kaharaba.
