Mohamed Salah is ready for BATE Borisov Champions League match

AS Roma in Belarus to take on BATE Borisov in the 2015-2016 Champions League group stage.

Roma, after their valiant effort against Barcelona on match day one, are level with Barca on one point, three adrift of group leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Without both of their strikers out (Francesco Totti & Edin Dzeko), Garcia will field three wingers Iago Falque, Mohammed Salah and Gervinho as the attacking trio with one of the last two deployed as a false-9 striker. Keita’s place will be taken by club captain Daniele De Rossi, who played on Saturday as a central defender.

“We could also change formation,” Garcia told journalists in his pre-match Press conference, when asked if Florenzi would form part of the front trident in a 4-3-3.

“But like you say, Florenzi is more attacking and could play in attack, because we have right-backs in the squad.”

Roma’s squad is limited to 22 players for this season’s competition, after UEFA found the club to be in breach of Financial Fair Play regulations, but Garcia has named just 21.

“That’s the way things are, we could name 22 and we have 21. It’s not easy to find a balance between players found in Italy and players brought through at Roma.

“I have a squad with less stars [for tomorrow], but it’s united, and we’ll have more solidarity. That’s what we have to do when there are difficulties, we must all do more.”
