2019 Summer Terrace-wear Trends

There is nothing worse than going to a match and feeling out of place. We know that when you are on the terraces you want to fit in, look good and feel comfortable. So, today, we have decided to do a review of the biggest terracewear trends for the summer.

Polo shirts

It is clear from the fact that most of the big retail retailers like jacamo.co.uk are stocking a lot more polo shirts that they are going to be back in fashion for 2019.

Look out for Adidas, Umbro and Puma polo shirts. This year, they are all making longer lengths a cut that works particularly well for sports fans. Later in the season, when the weather starts to change you will be glad that you bought this particular cut. The fact that these shirts hang lower will stop the cold wind getting into your clothing via the gap between your trousers and top. Later in the year, you will also be able to buy long-sleeved polo shirts.

Matching two-piece tracksuits

Mid-90s fashion has had a big impact on menswear, this year. So, tracksuits are very much on trend. Some of the big 90s brands like Kappa are set to make something of a comeback.

The connection between streetwear and terracewear is always strong. So, you can expect to see a lot of football fans wearing matching two-piece tracksuits.

If an all-in-one look is not for you, just swap the bottoms for a pair of straight-cut jeans instead. These look good when worn with a polo shirt and tracksuit top.

2019 terrace footwear options

Trainers and sneakers are still set to be the footwear of choice for most football fans. They are practical, as much as anything else. Once again, retro styles are the biggest trend.

It is the 90s most footwear designers have turned to for inspiration. The Fila Disruptor is probably the sneakers to go for. But, there is also a good selection of retro styled Nike Air Max trainers available. If you want something that looks and feels more like a pair of shoes, consider buying a pair of Converse Chuck 70s.

Terracewear jacket options

During the first month of the season, you are not likely to need a jacket. But, by September this item of clothing becomes essential terracewear.

At that point in the year, rain is a distinct possibility and the weather is usually starting to get colder. So, you need a good jacket to wear to matches.

Puffer jackets with a secure inner pocket are always a good choice. But, if you have chosen to go with the retro look, they are not really going to work for you.

A bomber jacket will be a much better option. They never completely go out of fashion and look particularly good when worn with jeans and sneakers. It is a good idea to take the time to waterproof any jacket you are planning to wear to matches. You can find out how, here.
