Mohamed Salah in England to undergo medical at Liverpool
Mohamed Salah flew into London on Tuesday night to undergo medical at Liverpool.
Salah is set to become Liverpool’s record signing £40million.
Chelsea are set to pocket around £2.7m from the move, due to a clause entitling them to 10 per cent of any profit Roma make on the player they sold last summer.
The Egyptian International is set to sign a five-year deal at Anfield to bring him back to the Premier League after his disappointing spell with Chelsea.
Salah, who initially rejected Liverpool £12million bid three years ago to join Chelsea, has agreed a deal that will nearly double his wages to £90,000 per week and breaks Liverpool’s bank but he is worth every penny.
Salah only turned 25 last week. He also scores and sets up more goals. Last season, Salah combined for 26 in Serie A and was only behind Napoli’s Jose Callejon in assists and chances created, which is all the more impressive when you consider he missed a month of the season, while Egypt were engaged in the African Cup of Nations where they were losing finalists.
He will become Liverpool’s second signing of the summer after they agreed a deal for out-of-contract Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke.
