Ahmed Hegazy makes debut with West Brom against Leicester
Egypt’s center-back Ahmed Hegazy made his debut with his new club West Bromwich Albion in the English Premier League on Wednesday in a pre-season match against Leicester City.
The 26-year old Hegazy started the match that and was substituted on minute 65.
Bromwich lost 6-7 to Leicester on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation.
Hegazy was active in the defense line and also contributed in the Premiere League side attacks.
The Egyptian international joined the Baggies Monday in a season-long loan for a reported fee of one million Euros. The deal includes an option for West Brom to make the switch permanent for the price of one million Euros.
West Brom, who usually adopt an ultra-defensive strategy under manager Tony Pulis, finished 10th in the Premier League last season.
