Egypt winger Mohamed Salah has expressed his pleasure at scoring his second goal with Liverpool since his arrival last month, though he said it is still too early to evaluate his performance with the English Premier League side.

The 25-year-old Salah, who completed his move to Liverpool from AS Roma last month on a five-year 42 million euro contract, scored his second goal with the Reds in his second appearance with the team.

Salah scored an equaliser in the 20th minute after Leicester City had taken the lead through Algerian Islam Solimany before the Egyptian was substituted in the 65th minute. Liverpool won 2-1 and was crowned with the Premier League Asia Trophy.

“We have been introducing good performances during friendly games so far, as we aim to achieve victories,” Salah told a television programme after the game.

This is the second goal for Salah with Liverpool since his arrival in England, scoring his first in his debut during the 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic

“It is too early to speak about my performance with Liverpool as we still in the preparing for the new season,” Salah said.

“I am happy to join Liverpool.”

Salah enjoyed a highly successful term with Roma last season, helping them finish as runners-up in the Serie A behind champions Juventus.

The former Basel, Chelsea and Fiorentina forward scored 19 goals and provided 15 assists in 41 appearances in all competitions last term.

He also made 52 appearances with the Egyptian national team, scoring 29 international goals.
