Amr Warda to the Portuguese League?

Egyptian winger Amr Warda is close to signing a loan deal with Feirense, Portuguese newspaper Record reported on Monday.

Warda joined Greek side PAOK from Panetolikos in January after signing a three-and-a-half year contract with the club.

He produced many fine displays with PAOK during the second half of last season before falling out of favor at the start of this season.

He was dropped from the team’s squad for a game against Olimpik Donetsk in the Europa League qualifiers.

The 23-year-old came through the youth ranks of Cairo giants Ahly before moving to Alexandria-based Ittihad on a season-long loan in 2014.

He then joined Panetolikos in the summer of 2015 on a free transfer and was called up by Egypt coach Hector Cuper for the African Cup of Nations in Gabon, where the Pharaohs lost the final to Cameroon 2-1.
