Sobhi joined the Premier League side last summer after signing a four-year contract with the Potters, but the club extended his contract on Thursday for another season.

“I’m proud to be part of this club and I’m determined to repay Stoke City for the faith they showed in signing me at just 19,” Sobhi told the club’s official website on Thursday.

The 20-year-old produced many fine displays in his eight appearances with the club last season, proving his talent as a promising player.
