The 19-year-old was spotted at OR Tambo International Airport on Wednesday evening, with his destination confirmed to have been Egypt.

It has widely been reported that the Red Devils have made an offer to Wits for the teenage winger, who recently returned from an unsuccessful trial in Portugal.

Al Ahly offred a $1.3-million for the South African star, with the intention of signing him on a five-year deal.

Mahlambi is expected to undergo a medical today before completing his move to the record eight-time CAF Champions League champions.

Mahlambi will be the sixth transfer for Ahly this season after Smouha’s duo, attacking midfielder Islam Mohareb and left winger Ayman Ashraf. This year’s acquisitions also include Maqassa’s defender Hisham Mohamed, Difaa Hassani’s Algerian striker Walid Azaro and Al-Safa’s Syrian defender Abdullah Al-Shamy.

Under the guidance of Egyptian coach Hossam El-Badry, Ahly completed the domestic double this season, winning the League and Cup titles.
