Salah on target twice for Liverpool as they battered Maribor 7-0
Mohamed Salah was on target for Liverpool as they battered Maribor 7-0 in their Champions League clash on Tuesday night.
The Egyptian ran riot alongside the rest of the Reds team as they scored goals for fun against the Slovenia minnows.
Roberto Firmino was first to find the back of the net for Liverpool just four minutes into the game before Philippe Coutinho made it two.
Salah then bagged a brace, meaning Jurgen Klopp’s men went into the break four goals ahead of their opposition.
But the demolition job didn’t end there. In the second half Firmino grabbed his second before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain netted and Trent Alexander-Arnold put the cherry on the icing on the top of a very big cake.
The Reds supporters were understandably delighted with their team’s performance, as they look to progress from their Champions league group.
And they will love the way Salah opted to celebrate in front of them, after setting them on their way in the first 45 minutes.
After finding the back of the net the former Chelsea man showed he’s definitely a Red by blowing kisses for the travelling supporters. Brilliant.
