Mohamed Elneny Struggles to Fit in with Arsenal

Arsenal is clearly improving its game-play as they’re slowly rising up the Premier League rankings. However, things aren’t perfectly faring well for the club as their midfielder, Mohamed Elneny, is having some issues playing with the Gunners.

One can trace this issue way back in 2015 when they acquired Elneny from FC Basel. It was one of the most affordable transfer deals that happened as it was only worth £5 million.

But as good as it sounds, it still wasn’t an impressive addition to the team as he was still young, not yet known, and his performance was short of being impressive. He served as a backup. But the point of having a backup is to literally back the stars, right?

With this alone, one can see that even though he’s not yet a much-cherished possession, he had the potential of soon becoming one.

Unfortunately, his ambition of being the club’s star player was clouded as he was demoted to the sidelines to give way for Granit Xhaka. Yes, he is a backup. However, in the game of football, even the substitutes can threaten the dominance and reputation of the first team.

But the Egyptian footballer is exempted from that. Sure, he has contributed a number of high-caliber performances, but he wasn’t consistent. Or let’s say he lacks the cohesiveness to fit in with the team.

Though he’s a passionate young man who has a special connection with the ball, it isn’t that hard to say that he’s just an all-around player. Frankly speaking, he doesn’t excel at anything. It’s just that he’s a decently good player who can take on any position. But then again, he doesn’t have any rare gifts like Messi, Ronaldo, and Neymar.

So unless he wants to treat himself as a second option and mediocre possession playing for Wenger’s campaigns in the Premier League and Champions League, it can be expected that he’ll search for greener pastures in another club sooner or later.

But if Wenger gives Elneny a chance to make up for his pitfalls, and for some reason lets him lead the team in the League Cup, then let’s expect to see what the Gunner Elneny is really made of.

However, if for some reason a star newcomer to the team proves to be a high-caliber player in the eyes of Wenger, then there’s no question that Elneny would fade into oblivion. This would also be the perfect time to bet on Arsenal and use a winner coupon code, because your bet will surely win just like how Man City and Man United are doing now.

Yes, Elneny is packed with a ton of potential and opportunities to prove himself worthy to be called a legit Gunner. But his two-year time with the team isn’t impressive. There’s an expiry date to everything, and that includes Wenger’s patience to extract the best from Elneny.

Hopefully, this instability will serve as a challenge for Mohamed Elneny to better his game and prove that he’s worthy to be called a real Arsenal Gunner.
