Salah makes it 14 GOALS in the English Premier League
MO SALAH’S goal against Bournemouth made him the first Liverpool player to score 20 before Christmas since 1986.
That record was set by none other than Reds legend Ian Rush, who made over 400 appearances for the club.
Salah has a way to go if he is to beat Rush’s 346 goals in all competitions – Liverpool’s leading all-time top scorer – but he’s certainly made a good start.
The Egyptian is currently the top scorer in the Premier League with an impressive 13 goals after 18 games.
With 1238 minutes played, that gives him a 99 minutes-per-goal ratio, meaning he is scoring almost a goal-per-game.
He also has six goals in Europe so far this season, as Liverpool reached the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The last player to score 20 goals in a season for Liverpool is Luis Suarez, and we’re not even at the halfway point.
This isn’t Salah’s first stint in England, after an unsuccessful spell at Chelsea left people questioning his ability.
