Hector Cuper: “Salah has the ability to play for Real Madrid Read”
Mohamed Salah will be the star of the Egypt team at next summer’s World Cup and is good enough to play alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at Real Madrid, claims Hector Cuper.
The Egypt manager is busy making preparations for World Cup 2018 after his Salah-inspired team sealed their place from a competitive African qualifying group.
Meanwhile, Salah is continuing to impress on the domestic stage and has scored 20 goals in his first six months at Liverpool following a £39million summer move from Roma.
His incredible form has already started to lead to suggestions that one of game’s elite clubs could pay big money for him and Cuper says he is already capable of improving the current Real Madrid side.
‘Without doubt he is the star of the team but what has helped us to qualify [for the 2018 World Cup] is the humility of all the team, including Salah,’ Cuper told Marca.
‘Salah is a very good player who has the ability to play for Real Madrid without doubt.’

Egypt have a fair chance of qualifying from Group A after being drawn alongside the tournament’s two lowest-ranked sides in Russia and Saudi Arabia as well as Uruguay.
A good World Cup could also pique the interest of Real Madrid, who paid over the odds to sign James Rodriguez following his stunning performances in Brazil four years ago.
