Egypt national team manager, Hector Cuper, confirmed Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah’s participation at the World Cup opener against Uruguay.
“I can almost assure you 100 percent he will play, barring any unforeseen factors at the last moment. Salah is doing very well indeed, he’s recovered very quickly,” Cuper spoke during the pre game press conference.
“We’re trying to make him feel confident, the doctors are giving him the options to play or not. If he does decide to play, he’ll have full guarantees on his physical condition and I’m sure he will be fine,” Cuper added.
Egypt will face Uruguay on Friday at 2 p.m. (CLT) at their first game at the World Cup.
