Mohamed Salah made history on Saturday as he helped Liverpool win their sixth European Cup as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the Uefa Champions League final.
The 26 year old became the first Egyptian to score in the showpiece event of Europe’s top club competition, scoring a second-minute penalty to put Liverpool ahead in their match against fellow Premier League opponents.Set featured image
It was also the second-fastest goal in an European Cup final, the strike being timed at 108 seconds.
Salah’s goal in Madrid was the second fastest in a European Cup final and has helped to erase the disappointment of last season’s final when he was forced off injured following a clash with Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos and Liverpool were defeated.
