Telecom Egypt hitman Ahmed Gaafar is set to sign for Zamalek, according to board member Raouf Gasser.
The 25-year-old, who scored 11 goals with the relegated Cairo side last term, should pen a four-year contract with the White Knights this weekend.
“Reinforcing our frontline is a priority for us, and Gaafar will be our first signing,” Gasser told FilGoal.com.
Gaafar is one of several players to leave Hossam Hassan’s side this summer, following their demotion in the final day of the season.
Despite Telecom’s poor campaign, Gaafar finished one goal adrift of the league’s joint top scorers Flavio Amado and Ernest Papa Arko.
