Turki Al-Sheikh resigns from Al-Ahly’s honorary presidency!!
Al-Ahly honorary president Turki Al-Sheikh announced on Monday his resignation from his position at the Red Devils.
“After deep thinking, I decided to submit my resignation from the honorary presidency of Al Ahly,” Al-Sheikh wrote on his official Facebook page.
“I have decided to return as a supporter for Al Ahly,” he added.
The ex-president of the Pyramids club did not reveal the reasons behind his decision.
In January, the Red Devils board of directors announced the return of Al-Sheikh to his post.
In a statement, Al Ahly said that its board of directors did not discuss Al Sheikh’s resignation from the position of Al-Ahly’s honorary president, which he submitted on May 25, 2018.
“Al Ahly’s board of directors did not discuss the resignation submitted by Turki Al-Sheikh from his post as Al Ahly’s honorary president on his official Facebook page since a year and a half ago,” the Red Devils said in a statement on Al Ahly’s Facebook page.
The statement asserted that Al Ahly has not either accepted resignation or sacked any of its honorary president throughout its history.
