Forbes: “Mo Salah is the fourth highest-paid footballer in 2020”

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah has been named the fourth highest-paid footballer in 2020, according to a report by Forbes. Salah has been at the epicenter of Liverpool’s recent success since joining the Reds from AS Roma in 2017.

The 27-year-old combined with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino to form one of Europe’s most formidable attacking fronts, guiding Liverpool to a UEFA Champions League title, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup.

In addition, Liverpool were pitted to win their first English Premier League title in over a decade until the recent coronavirus pandemic.

In a recent report by Forbes, Salah was placed among the highest-paid athletes in the world ranked at 35th place with earnings amounting to $35.1m.

The report adds that the Egyptian’s earnings consist of his $23.1m salary and $12m that he takes in via endorsements.

Swiss tennis player, Roger Federer, topped the list with a whopping $106m followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi at second and third place respectively.
