Misr El-Makkasa head coach, Ehab Galal, confirmed that he has entered negotiations for a possible switch to league rivals Pyramids FC.

Since the return of the Egyptian Premier League, Pyramids have been in shaky form as they won just one of their last four games, including two consecutive losses to two sides placed in the bottom tier of the table in El-Gouna and Pyramids.

As a result, the club have seemingly decided to sack Croatian manager, Ante Cacic, and are planning to replace him with former Zamalek head coach, Ehab Galal.

“We’ve achieved a large part of our goals. I care about the club and its current situation in the league. I don’t know where I’ll be next year or how things will change,” Galal told OnTime Sports 2 TV.

“I’ve started negotiations with Pyramids on Thursday but I can’t leave without El-Makkasa’s approval.

“I still don’t know, I didn’t discuss it with my agent and I told the club’s football director, Walid Hawidy, about the negotiations.

“I can’t leave without the board’s approval and before I help sit in a good position on the league table.

“They have a group of great player just like El-Makkasa, at the end of the day the club’s ambition is the most important thing for me. I’m happy at El-Makkasa and I don’t want to rush my decision,” he concluded.

Galal initiated the season with Al Masry before parting ways to the sign for Misr El-Makkasa for a second stint with the Fayoum-based side.

The 53-year-old has a solid record with his current side, winning six games and drawing once while losing on just one occasion in his nine games in charge.
