Manchester City want Aston Villa’s Captain

According to a recent report from the Mirror, Manchester City are interested in making a play to try and sign Jack Grealish.

Pep Guardiola reportedly spoke with Kevin de Bruyne about Grealish, and after the two men went head to head during recent Belgium vs England game, de Bruyne made it clear to Pep that he believes Grealish would add a lot to the current system at the Etihad.

It’s not exactly a secret that Guardiola is attempting to mix things up right now, and if their loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend proved anything, it’s that their first team is starting to feel a little bit stale.

Grealish alone wouldn’t be able to fix that but you’d have to believe he could serve as the sort of influential player that would help piece the midfield – and attack – together. Whether or not the transfer comes to fruition, though, is another matter.
