Mohamed Salah out of Egypt’s Friendly against Botswana

Hossam EL Badry, Egyptian national team coach, decided to exclude Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah from the next match against Botswana scheduled on October 14.

Hossam El-Badry and Mohamed Barakat, the team manager, contacted Mohamed Salah to check on his health and to know the extent of the stress he is suffering due to the pressure of the successive matches with his club.

Especially as he may need a period of rest during the next phase to preserve him from any future complications that may affect his condition.

It was agreed to rest Mohamed Salah during the camp for the next friendly against Botswana on 14 October then prepare him for the camp of November, which includes two official games against Kenya and Comoros in the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Cameroon.

The Egyptian national team coaching staff led by Hossam Al-Badry decided to attend the match of Al-Ahly and Al Intag Al Harby on Wednesday, in the second game-week of the Egyptian league at Al-Salam stadium in the first official task of the new staff.

The Egyptian national team coach, Hossam El Badry, held his first meeting with his assistant staff.

El Badry explained the work strategy during the next phase and identified the tasks of all the members of the coaching staff.

El Badry looks to ensure a regular follow-up for the matches of the Egyptian League as well as African and Arab Championship matches in order to identify the elements to be included during the coming period, in addition to Egyptian professional players in European leagues.

El Badry was appointed as Egypt national team new manager to succeed the sacked Mexican manager, Javier Aguirre, as Egypt was eliminated from the 2019 AFCON round of 16 at home after losing to South Africa 1-0.
