Trezeguet scores twice in Villa’s comeback win over Fulham

While Aston Villa proved they can win without Jack Grealish, this was such a missed opportunity for Fulham.

Leading through Aleksandar Mitrovic’s goal, Scott Parker’s side failed to climb out of a relegation zone as they conceded three goals in the final 12 minutes as Dean Smith’s attacking substitutions reaped a rich reward.

The Egyptian international came off the bench in the 62nd minute, helping his side earn a 3-1 win over Fulham.

Egypt winger Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’ Hassan opened his scoring account with Aston Villa in the Premier League this season after netting twice in a 3-1 win over Fulham on Sunday

Trezeguet came off the bench in the 62nd minute, replacing Anwar Ghazi, while the visitors were leading 1-0 courtesy of a goal from Aleksandar Mitrovic two minutes earlier.

He turned the match on its head following his introduction, leveling the score in the 78th minute with a first-time low shot from inside the area before adding the second three minutes later with a fine close-range volley.

Ollie Watkins ensured the win with three minutes remaining, giving his side a deserved win.

Trezeguet, 26, has made 21 appearances with Aston Villa in all competitions so far this season.
