Live: Egypt vs South Africa | CAF U23 Championship

There will be no room for error for Egypt’s U-23 side when they face South Africa in a crunch African Championship clash as they seek to maintain their pursuit of a place in the Olympic Games for the first time in 20 years.

Egypt takes on South Africa in Marrakech while Gabon and Cote d’ Ivoire clash in Tangier with all four sides still capable of making the semis. Gabon however have the slimmest of chances and will need to win and hope that there is also a winner in the other match but straight victories for Egypt, South Africa and Cote d’ Ivoire will see them through.

With three points from two games, Egypt take on a win-less South Africa, who can still qualify if they beat Hany Ramzy’s team in Marrakech.

“All players are fit and we are spoiled for choice. It is now up to the players to deliver the goods on Saturday,” said South Africa coach Ephraim Mashaba.

Egypt will also qualify automatically if they managed a win, while a draw can also work if leaders Ivory Coast avoided an unlikely defeat to outsiders Gabon in Tangiers
