Ahmed Hossam  (born 23 February 1983), more commonly known as Mido,  is an Egyptian  footballer who plays for West Ham United as a striker, on loan from Middlesbrough.

Mido started his career with Zamalek SC in Egypt in 1999. He left the club for K.A.A. Gent of Belgium in 2000, where he won the Belgian Ebony Shoe. This led to a move to Dutch side AFC Ajax in 2001, where he joined Celta de Vigo on loan in 2003. His next destination was Olympique de Marseille in France and left them for Italian side A.S. Roma in 2004. He joined English side Tottenham Hotspur on an 18-month loan in 2005 and eventually joined the club permanently in 2006. He left the club in 2007 to join Middlesbrough, from whom he joined Wigan Athletic and Zamalek on loan.

Mido is an Egypt international, having amassed 51 caps and scored 19 goals.
