Samsung’s latest and greatest Android smartphone, the Galaxy S II I9100, will not be powered just by Samsung’s own Exynos / Orion processor.
Nvidia has recently confirmed that some Galaxy S II units will be based on the Tegra 2 platform (which also powers handsets like the LG Optimus 2X and Motorola Atrix).
It’s not clear where and when Tegra 2-based Galaxy S II units will be launched. Anyway, I don’t think end users will feel any difference between it and the model that uses Samsung’s processor.

Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Galaxy S II is expected to hit the shelves in America starting this month, for prices higher than 500$.
