The Pharaohs will Mummify Algeria on Jan. 28th (Egypt vs Algeria 2010)

Egypt winger Sayed Moawad vowed to teach Algeria a lesson in the African Cup on Nations semi-finals, in the wake in the Pharaohs’ 3-1 win over Cameroon on Monday.

There has been a hostile relationship between Egypt and Algeria since November’s World Cup decider that the Desert Foxes won 1-0.

The game was followed by severe clashes when Algerian hooligans allegedly assaulted Egyptian fans. The unfortunate post-match incidents are far from forgotten.

Now both teams will face each other again in Angola after Egypt went through.

“The next game will be on the pitch away from any troubles, but we will teach the Algerians a lesson in football,” Moawad told Egyptian radio.

“We want to prove that we failed to qualify for the World Cup only because of certain circumstances.

“We want to keep cheering up the Egyptian fans.”

Algeria reached the Nations Cup semi-finals after beating Ivory Coast 3-2 on Sunday.
