The Pharaohs are set to face off Togo on November 14, before playing the fourth round of the qualifiers against them three days later.

The swabs, which take from all the players came negative, except Salah, who tested positive for the respiratory disease.

The EFA added that the Egyptian star has not suffered from any symptoms yet.

Egypt made a poor start to their qualifying campaign, having been held to draws by minnows Kenya and Comoros.

Comoros top the group with four points, two ahead of Kenya and Egypt. Togo lies at the bottom with a single point.

The top two will advance to the African Nations Cup finals, which will take place in January 2022 in Cameroon.

Togo French coach Claude Le Roy expressed his anger about the narrow time between the matches against Egypt.

“How could we play two games within three days only? This doesn’t happen even in Europe during the current circumstances. We have to give the players a break, the situation is very tense and I am angry, but we will fight,” Le Roy told On-Time Sports TV channel.

“Egypt possess many exceptional players like Mohamed Salah, and I know all the other players pretty well, they are all at the top form of football,” he added.

Kenya were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at home to ten-man Comoros in the African Nations Cup qualifiers on Wednesday, paving the way for Egypt to move joint top of the group.
