Egypt striker Mohamed Fadl declared that he is in serious talks with former club Ahli over a summer move.
The 29-year-old, who was initially linked with Zamalek, is considering a totally-conflicting move to Egyptian champions Ahli, following his Ismaili contract expiry.
“I received a contract offer from Ahli and I am ready to make a return,” Fadl told FilGoal.com.
“My agent Tamer Al-Nahhas is currently in talks with Ahli officials over the terms of the contract.”
Zamalek interest
In the same context, Zamalek have been chasing Fadl since the winter break, and the towering forward claims that the Cairo club are still interested.
“Zamalek have shown interest in me since January, when Mamdouh Abbas was in charge. Now that he has won the elections, I reckon they will approach me again,” Fadl added.
“I will consider my options and come to a decision soon.”
Fadl emerged from Ahli’s youth ranks but couldn’t carve out a place in the first team.
He then played for Ittihad, Masri and Ismaili, in addition to Kuwait’s Kazma in between.
