Video: Ibrahim Saied to join Canadian side TORONTO FC (MLS)

Free agent Ibrahim Saied is close joining Canadian side Toronto FC who compete at the Major League Soccer (MLS).

“I have worked out the details of the deal with the club’s officials, and I will travel to the USA in a week to undergo a medical,” the 30-year-old told FilGoal.com.

Saied revealed that his Egyptian compatriot and USA goalkeeping coach Zaki Abdul-Fatah helped him seal the deal.

“I owe Zaki Abdul-Fatah a lot, I wouldn’t have completed the move if it wasn’t for him,” the controversial player added.

Saied has recently terminated his contract with Ahli Tripoli by mutual consent.

Saied, who has never lived up to his potential due to some childish antics on and off the pitch, joined the Libyan side after rescinding his contract with Ismaili in April.

Throughout his career, Saied plied his trade at Cairo giants Zamalek and Ahli, as well as Premiership side Everton and Turkey’s Rizespor.
