Ahli coach Hossam Al-Badri left Ahmed Hassan out of the Red Devils’ squad for their league game with Ittihad on Sunday for the Cairo derby’s sake.
The veteran midfielder is suffering from fatigue and Al-Badri decided to give him some rest ahead of the anticipated game with Zamalek next weekend, according to Ahli’s official site.
Winger Sayed Moawad, goalie Sherif Ekrami and Angolan wide man Gilberto were all ruled out through injury.
Moawad feels pains in his toes, which urged Al-Badri to leave him out of the squad.
