Interview with ElBaradei on OTV | ElBaradei To Run For President

Nobel laureate and former International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director Mohamed ElBaradei said he would run for president of Egypt if democratic reforms were executed, according to a MENA news agency report.

ElBaradei – a staunch critic of recently ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak – announced his decision during an interview with ON TV, a private satellite channel.

“When the candidacy applications are open, I have the intention to run,” ElBaradei said during the ON TV interview.
