With 11 minutes to go, substitute Osama Hosni pulled one back for Ahly before the equalizer came in the eighth minute of injury time through defender Ahmed El-Sayed.
Al Ahly needs just 4 points of the coming 3 games to win the league title for the 7th year in a row and 36th in history after settling to a 2-2 draw with arch rivals Zamalek in the Cairo Deby. The game was almost postponed due to some security measures before being set to be played in the last moment.
