Shikabala has been given a two-match ban for mocking the referee during Ittihad of Alexandria’s match.
The 24-year-old was punished by the Egyptian Football Associations competitions committee after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession for sarcastically protesting referee Fahim Omars decision to award Ittihad a controversial penalty while Zamalek were leading 1-0.
The suspension means Shikabala will miss the remaining two league games against Wadi Degla and El-Entag El-Harby respectively.
