Ahmed Hassan & Abou-Treika saved Al Ahly’s title celebrations.
Al Ahly were already crowned Egyptian League champions last round after beating Arab Contractors 5-1 as second-placed Zamalek were held 1-1 by Degla.
Substitute Ahmed Hassan, who looks set for an imminent Ahly departure, produced a superb second-half display as the league champions earned a 2-2 draw with Maqassa in the last game of the season on Sunday.
The veteran midfielder, whose contract with Ahly expired after the match amid reports suggesting that he already agreed to join the teams arch-rivals Zamalek, gave the hosts the lead with a powerful free kick just one minute after the restart.
