Al Ahly kept alive their hopes of booking a place in the CAF Champions League semifinal after holding Wydad Casablanca to a 1-1 draw in an entertaining clash at Mohamed V Stadium in Morocco on Sunday.
Geddo’s first-half strike was canceled by a header from defender Abderahim Benkajjane right after the break at Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca.
The result means that Ahly have no option but to beat current group leaders Esperance in their remaining game in Cairo later this month.
Esperance, who thrashed MC Alger 4-0 on Saturday, are in charge of Group B with nine points, followed by Wydad on seven and Ahly on six
