Egypt New coach Bob Bradley has confirmed that he is looking to play some friendlies against African teams before the start of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

“I have been watching African teams over the past few months and I asked the Egyptian FA to arrange some games with them in the near future,” the American tactician was quoted as saying on the EFA official website.

“I am very happy to start my spell with a big encounter like Brazil because I need that kind of games to test my players but we also need to play against African teams before the qualifiers.

“I know that the local calendar is very intense but I will ask the Competitions’ committee to provide us some space in December to play a couple of games,” he added.

The Pharaohs are seeking their first World Cup qualification since 1990.
