Hazem Emam ran out of Zamaleks training after throwing his shirt on the ground, before heading to the FA to begin the procedures of terminating his contract over unpaid wages.
Striker Ahmed Hossam Mido claimed that Emam said I will join Al Ahly while on his way out of the pitch, a comment that was vehemently denied by the full-back.
I didnt say that. Mido asked me about my intention to rescind my contract and leave to Al Ahly, so I replied that I am not going to join Al Ahly, Emam Said.
The whole problem started when Mido ordered me to jog, so then I told him that I get my orders from the management.
I went to assistant managers Ismail Youssef and Osama Nabih to complain, and their reply was: go out if you dont like it.
I went away but then I apologized to the management for what Ive done (throwing the shirt), assured them that my problem is with Mido and they accepted my apology.
Emam hasnt received any payment since last season due to the club’s financial woes. He is planning to resort to FIFA to terminate his contract.
Emam’s agent, Mohamed Mansour, said his client was currently being courted by a number of European clubs, including Swedish Djurgardens IF, Spanish Celta Vigo and Athletic Bilbao, along with an unnamed Saudi club.
Earlier this week, Amr Zaki lodged an official complaint with the Egyptian FA in which he requested that his contract be terminated for the non-receipt of his payments.
Zamalek Club President Galal Ibrahim has called for patience, however, saying that the club would receive fresh funds within the next month.
