Hazem Emam signs with Al-Faisaly of Saudi-Arabia.
Zamalek midfielder Hazem Emam officially signed a two-and-a-half-season contract with Saudi side Al-Faisaly Thursday after passing medical tests.
The Cairo-based club, currently in the midst of a financial crisis under the leadership of Galal Ibrahim, replied to Al-Faisalys initial faxed inquiry that the 23-year-old player must return to Egypt from Saudi Arabia before they can approve his move.
The player cant sign with another club as weve already paid his dues, Zamaleks president told Ahram Online Wednesday, adding Weve asked our legal consultant to lodge a complaint against FIFA. We will fight for our rights.
The talented winger was earlier fined earlier by Zamalek for his absence from training after clashing with teammate Ahmed Mido Hossam during a training session three weeks ago.
