Egypt and Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan netted his sides first goal in a 3-0 friendly victory over Belgiums Standard Liege on Saturday.
The 30-year-old, who is blighted by constant injury problems, opened the scoring after 26 minutes to stake his claims for a place in Dortmunds squad after recent reports linked him with a move away from the Bundesliga holders.
The Egyptian international suffered from a tendon inflammation in his left thigh that sidelined him for a long time this season.
