Borussia Dortmunds Egyptian forward Mohamad Zidan maintained his fine run in friendly games after scoring three times in his sides 5-1 drubbing of Spanish second-division side Elche in a friendly game on Wednesday.
Zidan opened the scoring after 11 minutes and Ivan Perisic doubled the lead 12 minutes later. The former Mainz and Hamburg extended the gap with two goals in the 34 and 40 minutes to complete his hat-trick.
The Egyptian international, who has struggled with several injures this season, has also found the net in Dortmunds 1-0 friendly win over Belgian side Standard Liege last week.
Zidan, who made only two substitute appearances this season, failed to reclaim his place in the teams starting line-up again after recovering from a serious injury amid reports linking him with a move away from Dortmund
The title holders are second in the league table with 34 points, three behind leaders Bayern Munich.
