Set pieces proved to be crucial for Zamalek as Mahmoud Abdel-Razek “Shikabala” scored from a free kick while Benin striker Razak Otomoyossi connected with a corner to claim a precious 2-1 win for Zamalek against Dakhleya in Cairo stadium on Thursday night.
Ahmed Temsah scored the visitors’ consolation goal in the dying seconds of a game which ended with only 20 players on the pitch after the send-offs of Wael Ismail from Dakhleya and Ibrahim Salah from Zamalek.
Zamalek have now moved to third position with 32 points, two behind leaders Haras El-Hodoud.
