No Ahly player will play football again until justice is served -Meteb

Ahly stars Mohamed Barakat and Emad Meteb vowed that the team ‘will not play football again’ in the wake of the violence that marred the 3-1 defeat in Port-Said.

Masri fans ran onto the pitch after the game as they attempted to assault Ahli players, injuring hundreds of visiting supporters, which resulted in one death according to goalkeeping coach Ahmed Nagi.

“We won’t play football again…we won’t play football again…we won’t play football again,” a very stressed Barakat told Modern Kora TV.
“We don’t want to play until justice is served.

“People have died. What can I say! People have died.
“We were stoned during the match and even so the referee insists to continue the game.

“I am asking officials who are keen to keep the league going because of some money…are you happy now?!
“We didn’t see one ambulance car since the match was over. This is war.”

Egypt striker Emad Meteb echoed his teammate’s comments saying: “No Ahli player will play football again until justice is served.”
